Description: " The chef (who is quite well-known) avoids wheat herself and lot of the food is gluten-free (certainly proper French sauces and gravies without flour). They also will make up and adapt dishes (mainly meat). The confit of duck is do die for and the roast pork has the best crackling I've ever had. Also the most wonderful hot beetroot and the cheesecake comes with a separate biscuit so you can give that to someone else. To limit numbers there's NO booking so get there EARLY especially on a Sunday. "

Description: We went on the 4 mile "Sculpture Trail" walk which takes you through some beautiful forest & countryside. at the end of it was the Beechenhurst Lodge which has a cafe, picnic areas, childrens park & BBQ area. The cafe had fresh gluten free cake available and a notice advertising this.
