Description:When booking a meal, or ordering a take away ask for Mr Ali, explain you are cd and they are really good at getting you sorted. I found his advice and understanding quite comforting as it was my first meal g/f. Obviously no nann bread but rest was easy!!

Description: On Sunday was in Cheshire, we called into a pub, that had a sign, 'fresh food served daily', figured they could at least whip me up an omelette. What a surprise, the waitress knew what coeliac disease was and got the chef to come and speak to me, he offered to make an avocado and stilton bake, risotto, stir fry, paella or adapt something of the menu. I opted for the paella, with mussels and prawns in, it was divine. The chef said if I gave him a couple of days notice he'd make something more exotic, was a bit overwhelmed! At the end of the meal the others got a small plate of choc truffles, waitress told me sorry I don't think you can have them, next thing the chef pops out with a small plate of grapes for me so I'm not left out! Will be going there again.
