Main courses on the gluten-free menu comprised of:
Steaks plus a choice of diane or pepper sauce.

Traditional Fish & Chips (they keep a seperate fryer exclusively for gluten-free meals)
Homemade Steak Pie
Lasagne
House Curry
Liver,Sausage & onions

Deserts can vary from week to week, bu I was offered on this occasion:

Pancakes with Fruits of the Forrest
Chocolate Muffin

They also do a Full Sunday Lunch (with Yorkshire Puddings!)

Eileen and staff were genuinely friendly and made me very welcome and The Bay Horse has now gone into my Folder of gluten-free eating places which I use on Holidays and day outings. Janet".

Description: Until recently we avoided dining out because of the fear of Peter being glutened. Having talked to the Landlord, Mike, who is also the Chef, and has a friend with CD, his knowledge was quite limited however, he was extremely willing to help and had obviously sought advice from his friend after our initial conversation. Although we successfully ate there several times Peter was fed up with plain steak or omelette , salad and jacket potato. What he really wanted was proper chips (they use frozen chips) and a pepper sauce with his steak. We were going to go elsewhere but we love the pub as the food and atmosphere is fantastic - and just a stagger away! I spoke to Mike yesterday and he agreed to us buying a deep fat fryer to be used only for Peters food and to make him proper chips. He also bought Bisto gravy granules in the jar so he could make a GF pepper sauce. How fantastic is that! The result was a wonderful meal at our favourite pub, if only they were all like that. They also have a large selection of Whisky... I asked Mike's permission to put a message on here and he said he would be delighted to cater for anyone dining there.
