The joy of baking is being returned to coeliacs everywhere, with the launch of our brand new gluten free ready-to-roll pastry – Silly Yak – which is available in Tesco’s chiller aisles from the 20th April.
Over 430 stores nationwide will stock our scrumptious new product, which we promise to all coeliacs and gluten-intolerant foodies will give the perfect pastry without any compromise on taste or aesthetic.
The recipe has been a labour of love for our young bakers and pastry chefs Tom and Laurence. When Tom’s wife Lucy was diagnosed with coeliacs disease, he set about looking into making the perfect pastry. Seven years later and Silly Yak was born, designed to taste exactly like the other products on the market. Now in production in a specialist gluten-free factory, the product is available just in time for perfect summer pastry delights.

Silly Yak pastry will be available in 400g blocks and is suitable for both sweet and savoury dishes. From sausage rolls and chicken pies to cherry bakewells and tarte tatins, the whole family can enjoy the same great taste.
